HOW TO DRINK MORE WATER

TIPS FOR DRINKING MORE WATER
  1. Drink water first thing in the morning. When you wake up, before you eat breakfast or drink coffee/tea, have a glass of water. This will give you a head start to your daily water intake.
  2. Add fruit to your water. If the flavor (or lack thereof) of plain water is difficult for you to drink, cutting up fruit and putting it in your water can add some refreshing flavor. Some tasty additions are lemon, orange, raspberries, and strawberries. 
  3. Have a designated water cup/bottle and carry it with you. Having your designated water cup or bottle around you all day will be great reminders to drink your water. There are even bottles with fun sayings and time-lines on them to get you to drink your water!
  4. Add a straw! This may be my favorite tip and what helps me drink my water the most.  Having a cup with a straw (and a handle) helps me mindlessly drink water. Think about when you go to a restaurant. You are more likely to drink more water when there is a straw versus when you have to lift the glass up each time.
