Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
We are an out-of-network provider which allows us to give you the best possible care without having insurance companies dictate the treatment. We do accept FSA and HSA cards!
You can also ask us for a “Super Bill” for you to send to your insurance company for reimbursement!
Do the treatments hurt?
Some treatments may cause temporary discomfort or soreness, but they should not worsen your pain. If you feel any increase in pain, please let Dr. Olivia know so she can adjust your treatment plan accordingly.
How long do I have to keep coming in?
There is no “requirement” for a certain amount of visits. Each treatment plan differs per person and per complaint. On average, patients receive care for about 8-12 visits for their complaint. Some patients also choose to receive care after their complaint has resolved for prevention. If you have more questions, feel free to meet with Dr. Olivia for a free consultation.
Are adjustments safe for all ages?
Yes! Dr. Olivia has adjusted people of all ages. The youngest person she adjusted was 3 weeks old and the oldest was in their 90s. Techniques vary based on age as well as other variables. The force used on a newborn is not the same as an adult.
Is chiropractic safe during pregnancy?
Yes! Chiropractic care is actually very beneficial during pregnancy. As your body changes and adapts to a baby growing inside of you, the adjustments help your body maintain proper positioning. Dr. Olivia is also Webster Certified! For more information about pregnancy and chiropractic care, check out the blog post.
Do you require X-rays?
No. X-rays are NOT a requirement for care. Although they help us visualize the area, chiropractors are taught how to diagnose based off of what we FEEL. If you do have any imaging (x-rays, CT scans, MRIs, etc.) from other doctors you are still encouraged to bring them to your appointment. Dr. Olivia can go over them with you so that YOU understand what is going on in your body!
Do you work with patients with hypermobility?
Yes! Chiropractic care is actually very beneficial for patients with hypermobility. We just tailor the treatment to you and your body. Care will be focused on stabilizing your body to decrease pain.
